CARLTON Football Club will appeal Charlie Curnow’s one-match sanction handed down by the Match Review Officer on Monday afternoon.
The Tribunal will sit on Tuesday evening at AFL Headquarters. The young forward was charged with striking after an incident involving Steven May in Saturday night’s victory against the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium.
AFL Match Review Officer Michael Christian deemed the incident as intentional conduct with low impact to the head. The incident was assessed as a one-match sanction.
The incident occurred during the second quarter of the Round 19 clash.
