Carlton rookie Billy Gowers is set to wear guernsey No.29 in season 2015.
The 18-year-old was Carlton's first-round pick in the 2014 AFL Rookie Draft.
The jumper was most recently worn by Heath Scotland who retired mid-way through season 2014.
Scotland played 215 games in the navy blue and won the 2012 John Nicholls Medal.
The only other 100+ game player to have donned the No.29 was Simon Beaumont, who played 152 games for Carlton from 1994-2003.
