CARLTON AFLW captain Brianna Davey has scored a maximum 10 coaches votes for her Round 2 performance against GWS, in the 2018 Shadforth Financial Group AFLCA AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award.
In a testament to the defender’s impact, Davey managed to receive 10 votes even after missing a portion of the last quarter with a ruptured ACL.
@BriannaDavey is an unreal player but the greatest thing about her is the genuine care she has for her teammates. She’s the type of person who builds her relationships around listening. She’ll continue to be a great leader and mentor for the gals. We’re here with you, Bri

The 23-year-old had 16 disposals, including 13 kicks, three handballs and six tackles.
Six Blues featured in the AFLCA AFLW votes, including the Hosking twins, midfielder Shae Audley, Kerryn Harrington, Nicola Stevens and Lauren Brazzale.
Currently sitting on 13 votes, Davey is jointly leading the competition after Round 2 with Bulldog Emma Kearney.
In a cruel blow, the skipper will be sidelined for the rest of the season as she undergoes a complete knee reconstruction.
