PATRICK Cripps will lead Carlton out in 2019 for the first time, after being named for the JLT Community Series opener against Essendon.
Cripps has been included alongside Zac Fisher for the game at Ikon Park tomorrow night, after they missed the practice match against Hawthorn due to AFLX commitments.
The midfield duo is part of the 30-man squad, which will be cut down to the 26-man team prior to the first bounce.
It's great to have this guy back in familiar surrounds. @DochertySam provides an update on where to from here, and what he can't wait to see in 2019.#BoundByBlue

Ruck combination Matthew Lobbe and Andrew Phillips also comes into the side, with both to run out for the first time in 2019.
As they were last week, six recruits have been included in the squad: Michael Gibbons, Hugh Goddard, Mitch McGovern, Nic Newman, Will Setterfield and Sam Walsh.
Marc Murphy will take his place in the team as forecasted by Director of High Performance Andrew Russell earlier in the week.
The game begins at 6:40pm at Ikon Park, with entry free for Carlton members.
Members are also entitled to 10 percent off at The Carlton Shop, which will be open until an hour post-match. New Nike and supporter ranges are now available in-store.
