IT was a case of deja vu.
When Carlton trailed Fremantle by two points in enemy territory, the Blues needed a spark.
Enter Marc Murphy. Again.
If you thought that Murphy’s goal - which has received a Coates Hire Goal of the Year nomination for Round 15 - was familiar, you were right.
After all, it wasn’t the first time a banana from Murphy sailed through in 2019 alone: he did it in game No.250 against Richmond, and against Collingwood in Round 8.
However, if Bluebaggers were to cast their minds back three years, they’d remember a similar script unfolding.
Albeit with eight minutes remaining on the clock, a snap from Murphy away from home against the Dockers produced a very similar result the last time the Blues were victorious in Western Australia prior to Sunday.
Our equal-10th biggest comeback from quarter time. A sensational skipper. A Jack of all trades.

Well well well... how did that all happen? #BoundByBlue
Wearing a helmet after sustaining a cut in his head the week prior, Murphy’s right foot snap against Fremantle in Round 5, 2016 was just as crucial on that day.
Fast forward to 30 June, 2019, and the result was exactly.
It should come as no surprise that Murphy lifted at Optus Stadium last night: it was the seventh time the veteran has collected over 20 disposals and kicked a goal in a trip across the Nullarbor.
