THE Moody household is navy blue after yesterday’s result between Carlton and the Western Bulldogs.

For the first time, twin sisters Breann and Celine Moody came up against each other on the football in yesterday’s Pride Game.

Come the end of the game, it was Breann who had the bragging rights, with the Blues prevailing by three points on a day where they locked in a home final.

With all of the circumstances surrounding the day, Moody said it was a special occasion for the family.

Not that the sisters bought into the hype.

“We were both pretty relaxed actually — everyone has been trying to pump us up throughout the week,” Moody said.

“It was pretty cool: Mum, Dad and all of our friends in the crowd would’ve enjoyed the contest.”

After playing in six games alongside each other for Carlton’s VFLW team, the chance to make the most of being in opposition wasn’t going to be missed.

Breann said there was no shortage of banter being thrown her way by her twin sister.

“She was whispering a few things in my ear but I didn’t let her get to me, she was just another opposition player out there on the field,” she said.

“She was talking about my hair, she was telling me I should be doing this and that. She was trying to put me off my game, there was nothing too hurtful!”

Having come up against the person who she knows best, Moody and the Blues will now return to a ground they know best on Saturday.

Last year’s best and fairest winner couldn’t downplay the significance of what playing at Ikon Park would mean to the group.

“The home final means a hell if a let,” she said.

“Ikon Park is our home and it’s amazing to get out supporters down there, we know the ground better than any.

“To be able to have a home final there - especially for our first final - is unreal.”
