Today we were reminded just how good it is to be part of this club.
To all of our fans who came down to open training today to support us, thank you. At one stage it was absolutely pouring rain, but you hung around and got us through another tough session.
We know we’re in a privileged position to play at this club. Our supporters are as passionate as they come.

We don’t get the opportunity very often to train in front of our interstate supporters and see them in person. We definitely felt the love at the end of training.
We have full faith that what we are doing will get us to where we need to be. Having that trust and support from you guys makes us want to be even better.
Creating our own history with the Club is something that is massive for us. It’s something which we are always aiming towards.
You walk through the halls of Ikon Park and there’s history everywhere you look. The 16 premiership cups on the wall, the 100-game players being on the locker.
Even today, when you look on the side of the track and see Chris Judd and Stephen Silvagni. They’re two legends of the Club.
Then there are the words that have driven us over the pre-season.
Honour the past, own the future. This is our future to own, and it’s our time to own it.
It may not happen right away, but it’s something we work towards all the time. It’s something which we all want to achieve together: I couldn’t ask for a better bunch of guys to train with. I couldn’t think of a better bunch of guys to build and chase success with.
This morning’s open training session was the main thing we had to get through today, and – no surprises here – it was hard work once again.

The run-throughs we endured as a group at the end of the session is something which will make us stronger. It’s something that I think has already made us stronger as a group over the course of pre-season.
We want to pride ourselves on our fight, and the only way we can get to where we want to be is to train it. Every single day.
We know there’s still more to come on this camp, even though we’re past the halfway point.
Bring it on I say!
