Could the Blues Brothers reunite in Ed’s 150th? #BoundByBlue
— Carlton FC (@CarltonFC) May 2, 2019
The Blues are on the hunt for redemption following their 11th-hour defeat in Launceston after the Hawks clawed back a six-goal lead.
Carlton will face a determined Kangaroos outfit looking to record their first win since Round 4 over Adelaide.
Despite their win-loss record, the Kangaroos have been competitive in the opening rounds, falling 16 points short to Port Adelaide after a spirited final-quarter fightback.
While Carlton have the stronger record with 97 wins from 155 games, they will need to overcome a four-game hoodoo against the Kangaroos.
The Blues should have the ascendency through the centre, currently outranking the Kangaroos in the middle: Carlton’s midfield is averaging 44 clearances to North’s 32.
But Carlton will need that crucial midfield-forward connection to take full advantage of what is hopefully a dominance in the centre square, despite the absence of Matthew Kreuzer.
