CARLTON’S Andrew Walker has re-injured his troublesome right shoulder playing for the Bullants in a VFL practice match.

The second overall pick in the 2003 NAB AFL Draft was playing with the VFL affiliate in an effort to regain match fitness and force his way back into the Blues senior side, but now faces an anxious wait for the results of scans on the injured joint.

“We can confirm that Andrew’s shoulder popped out during the first quarter of the practice match at Visy Park,” Icke said.

“It is the same shoulder that troubled him during the pre-season, but we won’t be able to determine the full extent of the injury until he has scans and consults with his specialist on Monday.

“Obviously it’s a disappointing result for Andrew.”

Walker, has played 81 games for the club since making his debut in 2004, did not play senior football until round 16 last year after injuring the shoulder in the final practice match and undergoing reconstructive surgery.
