THE Carlton Football Club is delighted to welcome Grace Egan for the 2020 AFLW season.
Egan was selected with Carlton's pick No.13 on Friday as part of the AFLW Academy bidding process.
The 19-year-old arrived at Richmond’s VFLW side with a point to prove and she did just that, improving her conditioning and strength to become a consistent performer at VFL level, showcasing a great balance between her contested and uncontested football.

Egan played 12 VFLW games in 2019, averaging 13 disposals, five handball receives and three tackles.
A highlight of Egan’s VFLW season was when she flourished against a strong Collingwood midfield - which will play in the VFLW Grand Final this Sunday - that featured many of its AFLW stars.
Carlton General Manager of Women’s Football Ash Brown said the Club was thrilled to acquire Egan ahead of the 2020 AFLW season.
“Grace has shown a lot in her first full year of VFLW football, she has a great work ethic and went head-to-head with AFLW opponents, winning her fair share of contests. She couldn’t be more deserving of her chance at the highest level,” Brown said.
“We are really looking forward to Grace joining the Club on October 22 with our other draftees.”
Carlton now has picks Nos.2, 26, 36, 44, 52 and 59 in the upcoming NAB AFLW Draft, to be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds on October 22.
