CARLTON skipper Patrick Cripps has been named in the 40-man squad for the 2019 Virgin Australia AFL All-Australian team.
The star midfielder is the only Blue to feature in this year’s squad after another incredible season in Navy Blue.
If selected for the final team, this will be Cripps’ second All Australian blazer following his selection in 2018.

Playing 20 games in 2019, Cripps has proved the difference on multiple occasions for the Blues in their strong finish to 2019, arguably producing the two best individual performances of the season.
Averaging 28 disposals a game, Cripps has been an integral component of the Blues’ young midfield group, leading by example and performing by the week.
Renowned for his stoppage work, the co-captain has notched up an incredible 170 clearances in season 2019, sitting second in the competition for the statistic at the conclusion of the home-and-away campaign (despite missing two games).
The final team of 22 will be named later this week on Wednesday 28 August.
