Carlton forward Tarni Brown has been put on the Blue’s inactive list for the 2025 season, due to a medical condition.

Drafted to Collingwood as a father/daughter Brown featured in 34 games before moving across to Carlton in a four-way-trade in 2023.

Brown made her Carlton debut in Round 2 of 2024, against the Gold Coast Suns, where she played every game from then on for the Blues.

“It has been a really challenging period for Tarni to get to this point but she has had our full support throughout the process,” Head of AFLW Ash Naulty said.

“As difficult it has been for her, her teammates, our program and our entire club will continue to support her during the year.

“While it is really unfortunate Tarni won’t be part of the side on the field, her health is the priority and this now allows Tarni to take all the time she needs to focus on that.”

Carlton now has one remaining list spot after the Club signed Eliza Wood as an SSP in place of captain Kerryn Peterson, who announced her pregnancy earlier this year.
