THE CARLTON Reserves’ final team has been locked in for tonight’s season opener against Box Hill at IKON Park.

Kicking off the 2025 VFL season, the Blues have named six club debutants for the Friday night clash, with a pair of 2024 draftees among them.

After recovering from an ankle infection, Ben Camporeale will run out for the Blues for the first time, while rookie Harry Charleson also features on the back of three VFL practice matches already for the Carlton Reserves.

Francis Evans will also play his first game for the VFL Blues, while former AFL-listed recruits in Ethan Phillips (ex-Hawthorn) and Cooper Vickery (ex-Sydney) earn their first games for their new club.

Rounding out the debutants is young ruckman Flynn Riley, with the former Northern Knight making his VFL debut.

After initially being listed in the side, Matthew Carroll (ankle) has been withdrawn from the line-up for what would’ve also been his first game for the Blues — in his place, the Blues are able to call on the vast experience of Will Hayes.

Following his late recall to the AFL team on Thursday night, Lewis Young’s place has been taken by young tall Dane Harvey, but the Blues’ backline can call on the class of Jordan Boyd, who continues his return with his second consecutive game.

There are also spots for youngsters Billy Wilson, Will White and Ashton Moir, while Harry Lemmey and Jaxon Binns will play pivotal roles heading into their third season.

The Blues will be led out by newly appointed co-captains, Liam McMahon and Heath Ramshaw.

The game will start at 7:05pm and will be streamed live on the AFL website and app.
