Befitting the grand occasion that it truly was, the Grand Hall at Melbourne Park’s CENTREPIECE recently hosted the Carlton Football Club’s Hall of Fame event, at which four luminaries from the past seven decades were worthily honoured.

Inducted into the Hall were two of Carlton’s six 300-game players, Marc Murphy and Kade Simpson, along with the Blues’ four-time premiership ruckman, Peter ‘Percy’ Jones and Team of the 20th Century Senior Coach, David Parkin both elevated to Legend status.

Tributes to Murphy were paid by Carlton’s former captain, Chris Judd and current captain, Patrick Cripps, with Simpson the subject of glowing acknowledgments by former captains Brett Ratten and Sam Docherty.

Similarly, Jones was honoured by the Club’s three-time premiership rover, Adrian Gallagher and dual premiership captain, Fitzpatrick, with Parkin formally praised by three-time premiership player, Ken Hunter and dual premiership captain, Stephen Kernahan.

Established in 1987, the Carlton Hall of Fame now comprises a total of 108 Inductees, 18 of whom have been declared Legends.
