As the Carlton Football Club archive continues to build – and with it a genuine appetite amongst members and supporters to help preserve and protect its illustrious past – a relevant body has been established in support of the cause.

The Carlton Archive Group (CAG) has already conducted a series of meetings to deal with the “nuts and bolts” issues relating to the Club’s acquisition and archival procedures. Pictured are members from left to right; Carlton Football Club Historian, Tony De Bolfo, Blueseum Website Administrator, Jamie Sanderson, former Adjunct and Professor of Practice in Economics at La Trobe University (and lifelong supporter), Mark Cloney, and the Blues’ 220-game premiership defender, Rod Austin.

The CAG’s mandate is to preserve and protect Carlton Football Club history – broadly speaking, the procurement, preservation, storage and interpretation of the physical and audio-visual historical artefacts of the Club. CAG supports the work of the Carlton Football Club Heritage & Tradition Sub-Committee and acts as the single point of contact for all historical artefacts being acquired by or donated to Carlton.

Anyone who may have a historic item worthy of inclusion in the Carlton Football Club archive are encouraged to contact tony.debolfo@carltonfc.com.au.
