THE CARLTON Football Club is proud to confirm that the Blueout guernsey will make its long-awaited return in 2025.

Voted by the fans as the guernsey they want to see this season, the Blueout guernsey plays a pivotal part in telling the story of the suburb of Carlton and the iconic streets that make it up.

Specifically Lygon St, where the bluestone is placed and the source of inspiration for the original guernsey, remains engrained in the DNA of the Blues and a place of familiarity for so many Carlton people.

The special-edition guernsey made its debut in Round 3, 2017, when the Blues were victorious against arch-rival Essendon. Paying homage to this, Carlton fans can get excited as the guernsey will make its comeback on the big stage in the 2025 King’s Birthday Eve clash, once again against the Bombers.

The Carlton Football Club takes immense pride in honouring the integral history that makes up the Club, and the guernsey aims to show the deep ties between the Club and the local neighbourhood.

In a nod to the original guernsey the classic white monogram will turn navy, worn on the navy guernsey for just the second time in the Club’s 161-year history, with ‘Carlton’ emblazoned on the back of the jumper collar in a new addition to the guernsey.

The Blueout guernsey is something that can link all Carlton people together from all walks of life. It represents our people, our Carlton community, that regardless of who has come and gone at the Club, Carlton has remained true to its origins.

With limited stock available, fans are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled with the Blueout guernsey available to buy in store and online at The Carlton Shop ahead of the Round 13 clash with Essendon.
