THE CARLTON VFL and VFLW fixtures have been released today by the AFL.

The AFL has today confirmed the fixture for the first 13 VFL rounds, with Carlton fans getting six opportunities in the first 13 rounds to watch the VFL Blues play at IKON Park.

The Blues will kick off the season on Friday 21 of March, in a standalone opening match under IKON Park lights against Box Hill, in what will be the first clash between the two teams since Round 2, 2022.

After a bye in Round 2, the Blues will host Southport in Round 3 prior to the state-wide bye, with the VFL and SANFL representative sides to once again play during the AFL’s Gather Round.

Bluebaggers can get ready for an action-packed Good Friday, with a triple header featuring all three sides.

Our VFLW first feature in the season opener against North Melbourne at Arden Street (9:15am) before the VFL side plays straight after at 12:05pm. The AFL team then finish off the day with the SuperClash at Marvel Stadium kicking off at 3:20pm.

The Carlton Reserves then hosts Geelong in the third home game of the season before taking the trip down Sydney Road to take on Coburg at Piranha Park.

Heading interstate in Round 8, Carlton will get a shot on the big stage at the SCG in a double-header against Sydney.

A home game against Williamstown precedes the mid-season bye, before the Blues then head to Windy Hill to take on the Bombers just a few hours before the King’s Birthday Eve game.

The Carlton Reserves will then take on the Northern Bullants in Round 12 before returning to IKON Park to host North Melbourne on Saturday afternoon.

The AFL has also today announced the first 9 VFLW rounds.

With an adjusted AFLW schedule, the VFLW season will now have an alternative season window with games now being played from April to August.

In a historical first, and before the season begins, the VFLW and SANFLW will also play a game during Gather Round, aligning with the VFL/SANFL matches also featuring in Adelaide.

After the opening game of the 2025 season against the reigning premiers in North Melbourne, the Blues head to Deakin University to take on Geelong in Round 2.

The side will play their first home game in Round 3 when they take on Sandringham at IKON Park before heading to Windy Hill to take on rivals Essendon.

Rounds 5 and 6 will see Carlton host back-to-back home games, with the Blues matching up against Darebin and Williamstown respectively.

Carlton then heads to Casey Fields to take on Casey Demons in Round 7, before the league-wide bye round over the King’s Birthday weekend.

A clash at Sandringham’s home follows, before heading back to IKON Park to face Geelong for a second time.
