FIVE Blues have been invited to attend the 2018 Brownlow Medal, as players, coaches and officials come together to celebrate the crowning of the AFL’s highest individual honour.
Held at Crown Palladium on Monday night, skipper Marc Murphy, Patrick Cripps, Charlie Curnow, Matthew Kreuzer and Kade Simpson will all suit up for the league’s night of nights.
After an outstanding season – which saw him break the all-time contested possession record – Cripps received his first All-Australian nod in 2018, with many touting the 23-year-old to notch up a number of votes on the night.

Simpson, who recently announced he will play on in 2019 for a remarkable 17th season, recorded his 300th AFL game this year in a testament to his longevity and consistency.
The Brownlow Medal is the highest individual honour in the league and has been awarded since 1924.
Immediately after each home-and-away match, field umpires allocate three votes to the player they believe was best on ground, followed by two votes for the second-best player and one vote for the third-best player.
The 2018 Brownlow Medal vote count will be telecast live on Channel Seven and 7mate from 8:30pm with the red-carpet arrivals beginning at 7:30pm.
Carlton Media will provide coverage of the Brownlow Medal as it unfolds on Monday night, so make sure you stay tuned to carltonfc.com.au and the Blues' social media channels.
