CARLTON has announced a new debutant for Wednesday night’s clash with North Melbourne.

After her move from Port Adelaide in the off-season, Yasmin Duursma will make her club debut in the first of two games for the Blues this week.

Duursma - a classy half-back who can play higher up the ground - has 11 games of experience at AFLW level, making her debut against the Blues in a draw back in Round 3 of season seven.

Now pulling on the Navy Blue jumper for the first time, Duursma will become the fifth new player for the Blues this season, joining Lulu Beatty, Tarni Brown, Lila Keck and Celine Moody as 2024 debutants.

Speaking on Channel Seven at the red carpet of the Brownlow Medal, Duursma spoke of the news which she received at training on Sunday.

“I’ve had a lot of setbacks throughout the pre-season, so it’s exciting to be playing this week and making my debut for Carlton,” Duursma said.
