CARLTON have named their team to face Adelaide in Sunday’s AFLW practice match at Thomas Farms Oval.

A team of 24 Blues will run out to face the Crows, with an extended bench of eight players rounding out the final pre-season hit out before Round 1.

Jess Dal Pos will play her first game since Round 7 of the 2023 season, slotting into centre-half forward alongside Keeley Skepper and newly named co-vice captain Abbie McKay, who will lead the team alongside Mimi Hill in Kerryn Peterson’s absence.

Carlton will look to continue showing their high-pressure performance shown in the opening terms in last weekend’s match simulation, which resulted in a one-point win over Melbourne, aided by the return of Marianna Anthony, who missed last week's match simulation due to illness. 

The practice match will also give fans the chance to see more of first-year recruits Lila Keck and Meg Robertson, who both showed promising signs last weekend.
 
Recruit Celine Moody will start the game rotating through the ruck, while twin sister Breann will nestle in the forward pocket.

Fellow new Blue Yasmin Duursma will start at half back, being no stranger to the Adelaide turf, having played two seasons for the Power in 2022.

Brooke Vickers will miss today’s practice match due to a hamstring strain. Her availability for early in the season will be determined in the week of Round 1.
