Tonight marks the first unofficial hitout against opposition for the 2024 AFLW season, with the Blues taking on the Demons in five-20 minute terms at IKON Park.
With a live DJ, food and beverages and limited-edition Heritage posters at The Carlton Shop, it’s sure to be a fun night out.

On the field, Carlton will show off 26 players across five time periods, where they’ll have the opportunity to put their game structures to the test, rotate through positions and put into place what they have trained over the pre-season.
New Blues Celine Moody, Meg Robertson, Lila Keck, Yasmin Duursma and Jade Halfpenny, who have been added to the list since the 2023 season.
Unfortunately, Tarni Brown will not feature in tonight’s clash, continuing her rehabilitation over the next month after experiencing a high-grade calf strain, with her availability to be reassessed after the first two rounds of the season.
It will be a chance for Maddy Guerin, Tahlia Read and Lulu Beatty to get some game-time under their belts, with the trio missing the previous season due to injuries.
Gen Lawson-Tavan and Ciara Fitzgerald hold their spot on the list after being added as injury replacements in 2023, while young guns Mia Austin and Keeley Sherar will be looking to strut their stuff after impressive VFLW seasons.
Captain Kerryn Peterson and Jess Dal Pos will not feature in tonight’s match simulation against Melbourne as part of their individual preparations heading into the start of the season, with Peterson to focus on increasing her training loads over the next few weeks as she prepares for the upcoming campaign.
Marianna Anthony has withdrawn due to illness.
