HUDSON O’Keeffe will continue to call IKON Park home until at least the end of 2026 after signing a new two-year deal.

O’Keeffe completed his first full pre-season at IKON Park this year, after joining the list last February during the pre-season supplemental selection period.

The 200cm developing ruck has a strong aerial ability, averaging 19.5 hitouts in the six VFL matches he has played this season.

His strength in the air combined with his competitiveness at ground level makes him a tough opponent to compete against, which was on display in Round 3 against Collingwood, where he amassed 18 disposals, nine clearances and 33 hitouts.

Yet to debut at senior level, O’Keefe is one for Blues fans to keep a close eye on as he continues to develop his game over the coming years.

Head of List Management Nick Austin said the Club was pleased with O’Keeffe’s emergence in his first 12 months.

“Hudson has really embraced his opportunity in an elite environment and has really started to come into his own in his second year competing at VFL,” Austin said.

“While his injury has sidelined him for a period this year, we admire Hudson's work ethic and resilience. He has also more than held his own in the games he has played this year and his appetite to get better every day is something we love.

“He will continue to work with Matthew Kreuzer and the ruck group, and no doubt he is already reaping the benefits, competing with the experienced players in our ruck division at training during the week.

“We look forward to seeing Hudson continue to emerge in the seasons ahead.”
