BLUES' skipper returns.

Experienced head Octavia Di Donato will return to the field tomorrow in her highly anticipated return ahead of an important game against the Demons.

The defender has been dearly missed on the field, bringing vision downfield and the ability to get the ball to her teammates cleanly.

Not only has the absence of her game skills been noticeable, but the leadership she provides in the back half keeps the Blues in order and elevates her teammates.

Carlton is hoping to have a better day at the office this week and break their three-game losing streak. Their previous loss came at the hands of Box Hill by 60 points.

Calder Cannons product in Ellie Sbeghen will have her Carlton and VFLW debut tomorrow as a third ruck option. The 18-year-old has been in impressive form in the Coates Talent League, being named one of the Cannons best players in the last four rounds.

After a scary encounter in the first quarter last week, Simone Mooney has been cleared of any concussion symptoms and has remained in the game-day squad this week.

Last round’s debutantes Bella Caminiti and Amelie Moore will also see more game time starting on the interchange.

Tash Phipps remains an emergency again this week with Paige Duffy and Evie Lee also being named as emergencies after a handful of appearances for the Blues.

Carlton will face Casey at IKON Park on Saturday 1 June, ready for the first bounce at 12pm (AEST).
