THREE changes.

It's Indigenous Round this week with Carlton donning their 2024 designed guernseys. This will be the first time the guernsey will be worn across the AFL, AFLW, VFL and VFLW.

The artwork named Ngiyanhi [nee-ya-nee] comes from a Wiradjuri word meaning ‘we all’. It was designed by Wiradjuri man of the Narrandera Murrumbidgee River People Stewart James, cousin of AFL player Zac Williams.

This week will feature three more debutants for Carlton ahead of a vital Round 9 clash with Williamstown.

A disappointing result for the Blues will push them to challenge the Seagulls who are sitting higher on the ladder.

Alexis Gregor will travel south to join Carlton in what will be her VFLW debut.

The 18-year-old has impressed with the Bendigo Pioneers in the Coates Talent League and will get her first taste of senior-level footy after being named alongside teammate Jemmika Douglas.

Douglas is familiar to this level, but not to wearing the Navy Blue having been previously exposed to the Richmond environment last year ahead of the AFLW draft.

She was part of the Indigenous Richmond Next Generation Academy and Douglas will certainly cherish the moment lining up for Carlton in the VFLW’s Indigenous Round.

Paige Duffy, a talented Murray Bushranger, also gets her first call-up and will be keen to make the most of the opportunity.

Issy Parnell will sit out this week due to a foot injury sustained in Carlton’s loss to Darebin.

Jemma Stokes will also be on the sidelines this week after returning from a hand injury last round that kept her out for four weeks.

Danika Di Santo, Natasha Phipps and Sasha Pearce have been named as emergencies.

Carlton will travel to DSV Stadium on Saturday to take on Williamstown, ready to start at 10am (AEST).
