A CARLTON midfield trio have all earned votes for their respective performances in Round 7 against Geelong.
In a game where the Blues dominated the clearance count but were unable to convert that into scoreboard ascendancy, it was no surprise to see Marc Pittonet, Patrick Cripps and Sam Walsh all feature.
For the second straight game since his return to the senior line-up, Pittonet once again received acclaim from the coaches, registering five votes — the most of any Blue.
The ruckman had an imposing performance in the middle of the ground, collecting a 19 disposals, 16 contested possessions and 11 clearances - all career-highs - to go with 28 hitouts (seven of those to advantage).
Pittonet’s silver service was to the benefit of his captain Cripps, who continued another strong start to the 2024 campaign with 29 disposals, two goals and eight clearances.
Cripps - who sits inside the top 10 as the highest-polling Blue with 27 votes - received four votes for his performance, with midfield partner Walsh not far behind with two.
Making it three from three for polling games in 2024, Walsh once again eclipsed the 30-disposal mark in a showing where he also had seven inside 50s and seven tackles.
