THE CARLTON Reserves will take on Richmond today in their final VFL practice match for 2024.
Heading to Punt Road from 4pm in the traditional curtain raiser prior to the Round 1 clash, the Blues have named their squad of 27 to take on the Tigers.
All three emergencies for the AFL game have been named, although it remains to be seen who out of Jaxon Binns, Ashton Moir and Marc Pittonet feature or are held back as carryover emergencies for the AFL clash.

Bring on tomorrow night.
Alex Mirkov will continue his gradual comeback to action after returning against Coburg last Thursday, as will Sam Durdin, who was one of his team’s best in a key defensive post.
Rob Monahan and Billy Wilson will continue to get valuable minutes in their first seasons in Navy Blue, while Harry Lemmey will play a crucial role up forward for the Blues.
There’ll be no shortage of dash coming out of the back half, with Wilson to be joined by Lachie Cowan and Alex Cincotta, with the latter travelling to Brisbane last week alongside Binns as emergencies.
From a VFL-listed perspective, the Blues will continue to get a good look at new recruits - and former AFL players - in Lachie Young and Tom Phillips, while Luke Nelson and Kristian Ferronato will also look to continue their impressive pre-season form at their new club.
In the best news story of the day, it’ll also be Zavier Maher’s first game in nearly a year, with the young leader having his 2023 wiped out due to an ACL injury after an impressive 2022 campaign.
Today’s practice match will begin from 4pm, and will be live-streamed on the Richmond website, while fans heading into the MCG early can also attend.
