THE TEAM is in for the Blue’s Round 5 clash.

All the pieces in place for another interesting game this Friday afternoon, with the Blues making three changes to the team which narrowly fell short against the Tigers last week. 

Irish recruit Dayna Finn headlines this week's inclusions and will make her AFLW debut after impressing on the training track since her arrival at IKON Park in the pre-season. 

Hailing from a professional basketball background, Finn is set to use her natural athleticism and competitive nature to her advantage when she runs out in the Navy Blue for the first time.

The last addition to Carlton in the off-season, Ciara Fitzgerald, will don the Navy Blue for the first time after a VFLW 'Team Of The Year' performance with North Melbourne caught the interest of the Blues.

Versatile and agile, Fitzgerald will add some zip off the half-back line in the absence of Marianna Anthony - aiming to be an important connection for the team in the rebound out of defence. 

Young-gun Daisy Walker will return to the side, looking to restart her season after a brief stint on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.

Looking to capitalise on a second home game in as many weeks, the Blues will aim to continue their strong ruck and clearance work.

Jess Good put on another commanding performance in the middle against the Tigers, with her partner Brea Moody backing her up with authority, positively impacting the scoreboard during her stints in the forward line.

Kerryn Peterson’s return was welcomed by teammates and fans alike, with the Captain’s lockdown defence on full show, leading the way with seven intercept possessions.

After making the trip to Sydney in August for a pre-season showdown, the Blues will take on the Swans at 4:05pm for premiership points, rounding-out a Grand Final Eve double-header at IKON Park.
