FOR the second consecutive week, Keeley Sherar and Mimi Hill have featured amongst the AFLCA AFLW Champion Player of the Year votes.
The young midfield duo were at their best in Carlton’s narrow loss to Richmond, constantly surging the Blues forward in a rollercoaster affair against the Tigers.
After being named in the votes in the win over West Coast in Round 3, Sherar and Hill posted three and two votes respectively in the seven-point defeat.
Continuing her brilliant start to the season, Sherar has a career-best 27 disposals against Richmond, eclipsing the 23 disposals she accumulated against North Melbourne back in Round 2.
Highly touted for her commitment in both modes of the game, Sherar had five score involvements (a team-high) and five tackles against the Tigers: her 31 tackles sees her ranked No.1 at the Blues in the stat after four rounds.
Not to be outdone, Hill had another 23 disposals to go with her seven tackles: the reigning Carlton AFLW Best and Fairest winner has now had 20 or more disposals in 10 of her last 11 games over the last 12 months.
The Blues will look to bounce back with a return to winning form this Friday when it hosts Sydney at IKON Park as part of a public holiday double-header.
