What would you do if you received a call to say you'd just won $50,000?
Victorian sheep farmer Peter Young was out in a paddock on his farm at Hamilton in the state's west when he got the call from Carlton to tell him just that.
Mr Young won the first prize of $50,000 in the Carlton Football Club 150 Year Lottery.
He purchased the lottery ticket earlier this year and joked that he may have a hard time convincing his wife of the news.
"I think my wife will get a bit of a surprise when I get to the dinner table!" Mr Young said.
When asked what he would spend the money on, Mr Young said he may put it towards his Carlton membership.
"That will see me through a few years," he said with a smile.
Second place in the Carlton Football Club 150 Year Lottery, a prize of of $10,000, was won by Carlton Member Andrew Woodfield.
