ADAM Cerra has received the 10 coaches' votes for the second week in a row after another scintillating performance in Perth.
Totalling 27 disposals, 11 inside 50s and nine score involvements, it was Cerra’s powerful 708 metres gained that saw him top the table, continuously using his possession to the advantage of his teammates.
This sees the midfielder sitting on 49 AFLCA votes – the highest of any Carlton player.
Skipper Patrick Cripps was awarded six votes for his game, continuing his recent dominance at Optus Stadium.
Picking up 29 disposals (25 effective), 17 contested possessions and six score involvements, Cripps well and truly put his body on the line to win the contest.
Sam Walsh received four votes, with the 23-year-old delivering a decisive running game, in which he totalled 32 disposals, seven score involvements and six intercept possessions, using his pace to gather the ball wherever he could.
Harry McKay and Adam Saad were both awarded two votes for their games.
McKay and Saad both contributed three contested marks, with McKay delivering eight marks in total along with his three goals.
The All-Australian defender provided 12 intercept possessions for his side (a team-high) along with 12 contested possessions, being an imposing force across half back.
Jacob Weitering and Charlie Curnow round out the votes with a single vote each.
Weitering was a general down back, taking four contested marks and six rebound 50s, important in stopping Fremantle’s transition game, as he spent 100 per cent of game time on the field.
In his 100th game, Curnow was active in the forward line, slotting three goals and taking six marks. Selflessly, the 2023 Coleman Medallist also worked hard to get his teammates involved in the game, delivering a game-high 10 score involvements.
