EVER wondered what it’s like to live with Charlie Curnow, Paddy Dow and Sam Walsh?
Allegedly, it’s “good fun”. But don’t expect mates’ rates from the autocratic landlord.
That’s the lowdown from Matthew Kennedy, who makes up one of the four currently living together. That doesn’t include Curnow’s two dogs Reg and Wax, or Kennedy’s Aussie Shepherd, Toby.
It’s the latest incarnation of Dow, Kennedy and Walsh’s living arrangements ever since returning from the 2020 hub.
Unsurprisingly, it’s a thrill a minute.
“It’s a lot of fun and there’s always something happening, always something to do,” Kennedy told RSN Breakfast.
“It’s a really nice spot. It’s just a shame that ‘Walshy’ is charging us rent.
“We thought we may get mates’ rates, but he’s stitched us up a fair bit. He’s looking after himself.”
The newest member of the quartet is also under some serious heat.
It was said earlier in the year, on the esteemed* Summer Sessions podcast, that Curnow’s arrival had been met with him wanting to put his best foot forward. So much so that there was a roast dinner on night one.
But Kennedy revealed that that may be a thing of the past.
“We share the cooking a bit.
“Charlie was good when he came in early days. He wanted to be on his best behaviour, but he’s slowing down now the big fella! He’s got a bit complacent.”
