Carlton is delighted to have secured the talents of Sarah Last, a tall running defender who is coming off an amazing VWFL season for Bendigo.

Although she’s relatively new to the game, having hailed from a netball/basketball background, her performance this year played a significant role in Bendigo reaching the 2016 grand final.

Senior women’s coach Damien Keeping says Last has plenty of natural ability and a fierce competitive streak.

“Sarah’s knack to read the ball in flight is matched by her brutal competitiveness,” Keeping said.

Last will be sure to leave a ‘lasting’ impression on Blues fans in 2017.
