THE Carlton Reserves will call on the defensive duties of Sam Durdin and Caleb Marchbank in the VFL.
The key defensive duo will return in today’s clash with the Northern Bullants at IKON Park.
Marchbank has missed the last two games after being managed in the lead-up to the mid-season bye, with AFL Senior Coach Michael Voss revealing the Blues took a conservative approach with the backman in recent weeks.
He’ll be joined by Durdin, who has had a frustrating run with a hamstring injury after showcasing some brilliant form for the VFL Blues earlier in the season.
Zac Fisher will miss with a hamstring injury, as revealed on Thursday evening, while Dom Akuei - who kicked the winning goal against the Bullants in 2022 - won’t feature after a concussion sustained against Werribee a fortnight ago.
AFL emergencies George Hewett, Josh Honey and Lewis Young won’t play at VFL level ahead of Carlton’s Round 16 AFL clash with Hawthorn tomorrow.
The Round 15 VFL clash with the Bullants will be live-streamed on the AFL website.
