ANOTHER chapter will be written in an historic rivalry when Carlton and Hawthorn come together at the MCG this Sunday afternoon.
While fans are set to enjoy a spectacle on-field, the game will also hold importance off it with the teams participating in the second annual ‘Dare to Hope’ match.
The Dare to Hope match began to support Hawthorn Football Club Premiership Player and 1991 Norm Smith Medallist Paul Dear, with the goal of raising awareness for Pancreatic Cancer and funds going towards the Dare to Hope: Pancreatic Cancer Fund.
The ‘Bay of Hope’ – a sea of purple seats at the game, will pay tribute to the thousands of Australians who are impacted by pancreatic cancer each year.
