GETTING to work.

Last week, Adam Saad Pathways welcomed 25 multicultural girls aged between 12-15 living in Northern Metropolitan Melbourne to IKON Park to participate in the 2023 Girls Academy.

As a whole, the Academy uses football as a vehicle to build the foundations for young people to lead confident, fulfilling lives as they grow into young adults.

Last year was the first time the Girls Academy was run as part of the Adam Saad Pathways, with 26 young females involved in the inaugural program.

The on-field session included football development skills such as five-star handball, kicking in the bubble and tackling coached by All-Australian defender Adam Saad and a host of other experienced coaches.

The off-field leadership session was about team values, where the girls came up with five values that they will live by for the next five weeks in the Academy, continuing to live them once the program is finished.
