The VFLW Blues will be looking for a back-to-back win this week as they face the Western Bulldogs

After a dominant win last week against the Casey Demons, the Blues will again have the home-ground advantage when they face the Bulldogs.

AFLW-listed midfielder Keeley Sherar will be a vital factor in tomorrow's game through the middle after her electric performance last week amassing 24 disposals, 11 tackles, and one goal.

After kicking three goals, forward Mia Cowan will be the focus of the Blue’s midfield on Saturday morning, and she will be optimistic to reward her team's efforts in front of the goal.

The Blues defenders applied some much-needed pressure during the win over Casey with 104 tackles.  Chloe Wrigley will be hoping she can create various stoppages after a strong 17 tackles in Round 7.

Tomorrow’s game will also mark the occasion of vice-captain Bryannan Gurr’s 50th straight game for the Blues and in the VFLW.

After a stellar 2022 season, Gurr took home the coaches’ award and fourth place in the Carlton VFLW best and fairest with 74 votes.

Gurr has been outstanding on and off the field and will look to take some strong marks in tomorrow’s clash.

Some changes for the Round 8 team will see the inclusion of Kasey Lennox, Gabriella Pound, Taylor Ortlepp, Ahlani Eddy, and Mia Austin.

Madeline Hendrie, Libby Hosking, and Emily Hurley will miss the game with injuries and Georgia Tait and Ruby Watts will also be sidelined.

Fans can catch all the action from 11am (AEST) at IKON Park or stream it live via the AFL website and app.
