BOTH of Carlton’s AFL and VFL teams will be in action at Marvel Stadium this Saturday.
While this week would’ve been the VFL bye, it has now been confirmed that the Carlton Reserves will take on the AFL Academy this Saturday evening.
The action will kick off from 4:10pm, with gates opening from 4pm: entry into the AFL game will cover entry into the practice match.
The AFL Academy consists of the best young talent in the country in their draft year, with a familiar face to take on the Blues this weekend. Harley Reid, touted as the likely No.1 draft selection, will feature against the Carlton Reserves after pulling on the jumper for the VFL Blues in the last two weeks.
Carlton’s full squad will be announced on Saturday morning, with AFL-listed players eligible.
The last time Carlton’s VFL side (then the Northern Blues) came up against the AFL Academy was back in 2017, with Luke Power as the opposition’s coach.
The game will be streamed in-article on the AFL website. The article will sit on the front page from Saturday afternoon.
