TWO SUCCESSFUL outings.

The Carlton Next Generation Academy (NGA) participated in their annual competition run by AFL Victoria, with the boys and girls squads competing on separate days.

The NGA program is a joint initiative between the AFL and AFL clubs aimed to increase Indigenous and multicultural football participation, ensuring these groups have equal opportunity and the chance to play at the highest level.

The boys' NGA squad was made up of players from the Adam Saad Pathways Boys Academy, which aligns to the Carlton Football Club's NGA.

Placed in the West Conference, Carlton won both of its games against Essendon and Western Bulldogs by over 50 points.

Coach Adam Saad was in attendance to oversee the games and give his advice to the side which stormed home to two major wins.

Last week, the girls NGA side (made up of Adam Saad Pathways Girls Academy) also participated in matches as part of the NGA program for the first time ever: it was a memorable day for all involved, with the girls winning two of their three games and Saad proud of his team's adaptability and persistence.
