THE VFLW TEAM is in for Round 4.
Blues' fans will get their first glimpse of Tahlia Read in the Navy Blue, after the forward joined Carlton through the AFLW Sign and Trade Period.
Coming across from Fremantle, Read will play her first game back for a Victorian side since she won the Calder Cannons best and fairest in the NAB League, averaging nearly 18 disposals a game.
Lulu Beatty will also be back on the park after her impressive Round 1 performance – however this time, it will be as an AFLW-listed player.
Beatty totalled 13 disposals and three marks in the win over Port Melbourne, solidifying her selection as pick No.5 in the 2023 AFLW Supplementary Draft.
Coming off an impressive win over Essendon last week - including a seven-goal final term - the two AFLW-listed inclusions are sure to add further class and composure to the side.
Unfortunately, captain Christina Bernardi will miss several weeks after suffering a wrist fracture last weekend, but she’ll leave the team in good hands through leadership group members Millie Klingbeil and Bry Gurr.
