The Carlton Football Club is pleased to announce Tyreece Leiu and Alex Cincotta have signed on for another year with the Carlton Reserves.
Leiu shone in his first season with the VFL side in 2022 while Cincotta emerged in his first full campaign with the Carlton Reserves, with the defensive duo committing for another year in Navy Blue.
Leiu played 11 games last season and didn’t miss a game from Round 13, proving his worth in defence as a versatile option who could perform his role on a wide array of forwards.
Scenes we love to see 💙

He's not going very far. Welcome back, Parksy!
His best performance came in the Round 22 clash with Collingwood at the MCG, where he had 19 disposals and eight marks - including a match-saving intercept - to seal a finals berth.
On the back of his one solitary game in 2021 after overcoming injury, Cincotta was a mainstay in the Carlton Reserves defence, as he featured in all 20 games in 2022 where he averaged 21 disposals across the season.
Finishing on the podium in the 2022 Carlton Reserves Best and Fairest count, Cincotta’s most dominant performance came in Round 13 against Footscray at IKON Park, where he collected a season-high 29 disposals along with six tackles.
Carlton VFL Coach Luke Power said both players can look to continue their growth as they enter another season at IKON Park.
“Alex and Tyreece have both progressed immensely during their first season at the Club, so it is exciting to have them on board again in 2023,” Power said.
“Tyreece put a lot of work into his development through the pre-season which allowed him to break into the side midway through the season and produce some consistent footy.
“Alex played every possible game for us this season and is an integral member of the side, and to have him sign on for another year shows that he believes in the direction this team is heading.
“We’re pumped to have Tyreece and Alex commit for 2023 and we’re looking forward to working with them both to grow and develop their skills even further.”
