TWO Game Changers have been selected for the AFLW All-Australian squad for their performances in season seven, with Mua Laloifi and Breann Moody recognised for their outstanding campaigns.
Laloifi was a rock in defence for the Blues as she led her side for intercept possessions (averaging 7.4 per game), clearing her own career-best in Round 5 and setting a Carlton AFLW record in the process, with 14.
The Round 5 clash with Melbourne was arguably her best, on her way to a career-high 20 disposals (including 10 contested), along with 361 metres gained.
Throughout season seven, Laloifi averaged 11.8 disposals, ranking fifth in the competition for intercept possessions while also being the No.1 ranked Blue for rebound 50s.
Moody will seek her second All-Australian selection, after receiving the honour for the first time in 2021.
Moody has continued to elevate her game, continuing the tap work dominance that she has become synonymous with, whilst developing her craft around the ground and in front of goals.
She sits third overall in the league for hitouts per game (averaging 22.8), while claiming the highest average contested possessions (3.5), contested marks (1.3) and metres gained (217.5) across the competition’s rucks.
At season's end she sat first on the Blues’ goal-kicking table (with six goals), and finished equal-highest for score involvements (averaging 2.3) alongside Mimi Hill.
Moody received AFLCA votes on three occasions throughout season seven – twice of those marked with the perfect 10 votes from the coaches, which came in the Blues’ two wins of the season.
