JESS DAL POS has been nominated for Goal of the Year.
The defender turned forward's instinctive snap from the wrong side for a left footer got Blues' fans out of their seats in the third quarter of the team's Round 7 win.
"I'm pretty consistent, around about a goal a year," Dal Pos said post-match.
"To be honest, I've practiced that kick since I was a kid and you never get the opportunity on game day - it's the most elusive situation, so the second I got it I knew it was now or never."
There was one person who Dal Pos instantly knew would be most impressed by her efforts.
"When I kicked it I knew straight away that it was going to go through and I was like 'Dad's going to be so pumped.'"
