WELCOME back to ‘Yeah, Good Chat’!

Kicking off our sixth episode is none other than Carlton royalty Abbie McKay, who talks to us about her dogs, her elevation in the midfield and being blind until Year 9.

Goodie and Abbie dissect the game on the weekend (the good, bad and the ugly) and preview their upcoming clash with Port Adelaide, as well as the importance of Indigenous Round.

Listen below or wherever you get your podcasts.

0:25 - We start off with some really good (great) news, which was a real lift after Abbie was 11 minutes late to the podcast recording.

1:02 - We find out what kind of assignments you do for a Zoology degree.

2:28 - Does Abbie know who Abba is or is she only familiar with Mamma Mia? She also loves Hyundai.

3:38 - Stay for the dog content (x4) and one cat.

6:42 - Abbie recaps the season so far: what she’s enjoyed and working hard with Maddy Guerin and Mimi Hill.

8:09 - The Essendon game… listen if your heart can handle it.

03:12

9:08 - Looking forward to Round 3: first time against Port Adelaide, home game, Indigenous Round… the list goes on.

10:47 - Gift exchange: Goodie can’t keep the gift, but Abbie describes the level of her blindness if that’s a hint.

14:05 - Abbie recommends Offspring as her show of choice (can recommend, great show if you love some hard-hitting Australian drama and plenty of heartbreak) as well as any books by Colleen Hoover.

16:20 - That’s Good and That’s Not Good: plenty of good stories to come out of the Essendon game, as well as some forgettable moments for Abbie.

18:28 - Abbie has been here for five years? Time flies when you’re having fun.

19:23 - Goodie asks if Abbie’s dad played for Carlton…

22:10 - Reflex cards: we start off mean then get real wholesome shortly after.
