Out-of-contract Carlton midfielder Bryce Gibbs has given the strongest indication yet he will remain a Blue in 2015.
However, Blues officials have raised eyebrows over Gibbs' request, via his management, for Carlton's list blueprint to be shared before he makes a decision on his future.
The 25-year-old has been courted to return home to South Australia as he becomes a restricted free agent at season's end.
Gibbs revealed he had made ground on re-signing at Visy Park this week.
"Probably, yeah," Gibbs said on Channel Nine's The Footy Show when quizzed on whether he was closer to a signature this week.
"(It) has always been a positive sign, no dramas from both ends I don't think."
The 25-year-old reiterated it had always been his intention to remain in Navy Blue.
"That's the plan, yep," he said.
Gibbs headlines a list of un-signed free agents at the Blues which includes Jarrad Waite and Michael Jamison.
