CARLTON has named two inclusions for Saturday’s home clash with Fremantle. 

After coming from the ground in the last quarter in around 14, Sam Durdin (knee) and Jack Martin (calf) have been withdrawn from the side. 

In for his first game of the season is Josh Honey, who has been steadily progressing in the VFL over the last month. 

Having impressed in the final weeks of last season as a small forward that hit the scoreboard, a knee injury delayed Honey’s preparations for this season, but his four-goal haul last week was his best performance so far in the VFL season. 

Brodie Kemp will also pull on the Navy Blue jumper for his third game of the season (one as unused sub), taking the place of Durdin in a key defensive role. 

Kemp performed admirably on the returning Josh Bruce for the Carlton Reserves, restricting him to just three marks, after playing his role in the AFL side back in Round 9. 

There will be a double milestone for the Blues, with Jack Newnes to play his 200th game - 155 of those at the Saints before his move to the Blues - while Nic Newman will feature in his 50th match in the Navy Blue. 

Lachie Fogarty also comes out of the side after being activated as sub in the late stages of last week’s game: he is once again an emergency, alongside Jesse Motlop, Will Setterfield and Liam Stocker.

Carlton’s medical sub will be announced an hour before the bounce.
