THE Carlton Football Club now holds three picks inside the first round of the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s Draft after Grace Egan was traded to Richmond for Victorian pick No.13 (national selection pick No.25).
Egan played 23 games for the Game Changers over three seasons after being selected in the first round of the 2019 NAB AFL Women’s Draft (pick No.13).
As part of a four-way trade involving Collingwood and Hawthorn, Egan will return to Richmond where she competed in the VFLW before joining Carlton.
Carlton General Manager of Women’s Football Brett Munro said Egan’s departure will open opportunities for players making great strides in their development.
“We respect Grace’s wish to move back to Richmond for the upcoming season and thank her for her contributions to the Club over the past three seasons,” Munro said.
“With Grace’s departure, we are confident we have a pool of established talent and developing names on our list ready to step into that position this season.”
