With the AFL’s Trade Window upon us we decided to ask Carlton players to get in on the action and help compile their own fantasy dream team.
It’s no surprise that dual Brownlow medalist Gary Ablett was the most popular choice among the players’ dream recruits, while Sydney players also featured heavily.
Former AFL stars Wayne Carey, Warwick Capper and Gary Ablett Sr. were among the recruits players would like to have had the chance to play alongside, while Chris Judd and Tom Bell would be keen to see NBA superstar Michael Jordan don a navy blues guernsey.
Here’s how the players responded when asked: if you could draft anyone into your team, who would it be?
Marc Murphy, Matthew Kreuzer, Chris Yarran, Levi Casboult, Ciaran Sheehan, Cameron Giles, Nick Graham, Sam Rowe: Gary Ablett (Gold Coast Suns)
