While players on the regional leg of Carlton’s 2016 Australia Post Community Camp headed to Castlemaine and Kyneton today, the rest of the squad visited metro cities including Melbourne, Moreland and Yarra.

The players had a kick-to-kick and skills session with school students at Princes Hill Primary School and Carlton Gardens Primary School, followed by a question-and-answer session.

A select group of players also paid a visit to the Royal Children’s Hospital, taking photos and signing autographs for the kids.

Carlton captain Marc Murphy, an experienced campaigner, says the two-day community camp was a terrific way to embrace and connect with the Carlton community.

“These camps are a great way for us to give back to the community,” Murphy said.

“All the boys love visiting schools and putting smiles on the faces of young students, especially little Bluebaggers.

“It’s always a really valuable experience and makes the Carlton community stronger.”

The players resume training tomorrow, in preparation for their Round 3 NAB Challenge game against Sydney on Friday 11 March at Etihad Stadium.
