History will start at Ikon Park on Friday 3 February after the AFL confirmed the inaugural AFL Women’s season opener between Carlton and Collingwood would be moved to the Blues’ home base.
The match start time has also been changed to 7:45pm AEDT.
Originally scheduled to be played at Olympic Park Oval, the Blues’ AFLW team, led by captain Lauren Arnell, will now run out for the first time in navy blue at Ikon Park.
The historic match will be broadcast live on the Seven Network, FOX FOOTY, Crocmedia, SEN, Triple M Melbourne and ABC Radio.
The match will also be available to watch via the AFL.com.au live app.
Entry will be free of charge, with gates to open from 5.30pm. Entry to Ikon Park will be via Gates 5 or 6.
