CARLTON has named its extended squad for the Round 4 clash with Gold Coast.

As yet, there are no confirmed inclusions, with the four additions currently named on the extended bench.

Corey Durdin comes out of the side due to AFL Health and Safety Protocols. He - along with Jack Carroll, Jesse Motlop and Tom Williamson - will be out of isolation early next week, at which point they will return to the Club to commence their preparations for Round 5.

Adam Saad could return for the Blues this week after missing last week’s gripping one-point win over the Hawks.

11:03

He is joined by Paddy Dow, Lachie Fogarty and Jack Newnes as potential additions, having starred as midfielders for the Carlton Reserves last week.

After being subbed off last week following a knock to his back, Marc Pittonet - who has been named in the ruck - will continue to be assessed and is currently a test to play.

Not named in the AFL squad, Oscar McDonald will train fully tomorrow after his back was allowed to settle last week. He is a chance to return in the VFL.

04:28

It means Lewis Young, who impressed in his Carlton debut last weekend, will once again partner Jacob Weitering in the heart of defence.

Sunday’s game will kick off from 4:10pm AEST at Metricon Stadium, with a VFL curtain raiser (live-streamed on the AFL app) kicking off proceedings at 12:35pm.
